  Most Frequently Asked Questions

1
With A4 size (or A3 size) laminator, can I laminate much smaller sizes?
Yes you can. Please use the pouch film that fits the paper size.

2
When using Fuji Lamipacker, can I use other maker's film instead of Fujipla made?
Yes, you can. Although, it is recommended to use our original CP-LEAF pouch film. Mismatching of film characteristics may lead to problems such as jamming or imperfect lamination.

3
There is a stain on the film after lamination. What must I do?
Rollers may need cleaning. Please use the attached cleaning paper to clean the rollers.

4
After lamination, the film has a slight wave, not flat. What should I do to get a flat lamination?
The temperature is, most probably, too high. Please decrease the temperature. To laminate copying paper, for example, 110 to 120 is suitable.

5
The finished lamination is opaque, not transparent. What is the reason?
The temperature is, most probably, too low. Please increase the temperature. To laminate copying paper, for example, 110 to 120 is suitable.

  Useful Tips
  To get the best results
Put an object to be laminated into the "CP LEAF" until it is stopped by the sealed side of "CP LEAF".
  1
After laminating a number of items, clean the rollers.
How to clean the rollers
Fold a sheet of paper (the thickness of the paper must be the same as a calendar or leaflet, etc.). Insert it from the Inlet Port with the folded side ahead. Repeat this procedure several times.

  Laminating Film

  • The exclusive "CP LEAF" should always be used. Use of other films may cause trouble
    (e.g. jamming, etc.).
  • Avoid "One-side lamination".
  • Insert "CP LEAF" around the center of the Film Inlet Port.
When inserting, the sealed side of "CP LEAF" must be forward.
  • "CP LEAF" must always be 2-3mm longer and wider than the object to be laminated.
  1
If "CP LEAF"is too big for the object, put the object to be laminated and waste paper
(to adjust the size of the film) into "CP LEAF", then cut the film to the proper size after laminated.
  1
Never cut up "CP LEAF" film before lamination. It may tangle in the roller.
Do not use two pieces of "CP LEAF" film at a time. Two pieces may tangle in the heater or roller.

  Lamination Objects

  • Lamination is made by heat and pressure. But, improper operation may cause failure in lamination or jamming of the film. Avoid lamination of following.
  • Objects which change color or quality due to heat (e.g. Thermal paper, a picture in crayon, etc.).
  • Inflammable substances (e.g. cellophane, etc.) or substances that are easily softened (e.g. vinyl chloride, polyethylene, etc..).
  • Very valuable things that are a one of. (When laminating very valuable items, do not fail to do lamination tests using similar kinds of the materials.
  • Don't laminate the object thicker than designed capacity.
  • Lamination of film (without laminating object) only.
